Defending champions Mumbai Indians set to host CSK in the IPL 2018 opener match

The onset of the IPL Betting Tips 2018 is approaching very soon. With the star wars gaining highest orders, expectations are going pretty high on this edge. The schedule for the current season has also been announced and the defending champions, Mumbai Indians and this year’s returning Chennai Super Kings will be int8iytaing this game season. Kicking off the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians will be hosting the grand match on April 7 in Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium. However, the final match will also be played at the same venue on May 27th.

The first double header of the season is set to be played on April 8 with the Delhi Daredevils hosting for the Kings XI Punjab in the first game, which will be followed by a battle between the star team of Kolkata Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Eden Gardens.
The Rajasthan Royals are also making a remarkable return to this seasons’ team list after undergoing a two-year suspension. They will be playing their first game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad scheduled on April 9. The Jaipur-based team will be playing their first home game, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. This match will be played against the Delhi Daredevils on April 11.

Apart from the Kings XI Punjab, the other teams of the contest will have the opportunity to play all of their seven matches at their home location, following the traditional venues of IPL. Kings XI will be playing three of their home games playing against Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore, along with the other four matches to be played at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.

The Wankhede Stadium will also be hosting its first qualifier match on May 22, however the eliminator and the second qualifier matches will be played on May 23 and 25, respectively and the venues for the same are still in discussion.

There had been multiple speculations regarding the change in match timings for this season’s upcoming matches. In spite of such conversation, the usual timings will be retained for the same.

IPL 2018: Jaydev Unadkat holds the position of the highest-paid Indian

Leg spinners were in high demand during this season with Karn Sharma bought at Rs. 5 crore (USD 786,000) from CSK, RCB’s bid for Yuzvendra Chahal at Rs. 6 crore (USD 943,000 via RTM) and Kuldeep Yadav picked at Rs. 5.8 crore (USD 912,000 via RTM) from KKR.

In the wicketkeepers’ list, Dinesh Karthik got one of the most lucrative offer of Rs. 7.4 crore (USD 1.16 million) from KKR. Wriddhiman Saha was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a price of Rs. 5 crore (USD 786,000), however Parthiv Patel remained unsold for the season.

IPL 2018: Ricky Ponting to lead the show for the Delhi Daredevils as the team’s head coach

There are also many talks going on relating to Ponting heading the Australian team for the upcoming T20I, coaching for the Australian cricket team. However, he wouldn’t be the head coach here, but, will assist the current head coach, Darren Lehman for the Australia’s T20 tri-series to be played against England and New Zealand in the month of February.

Ponting has been a legendary player of the game, who has played 168 Tests, scored a total of 13378 runs at an average of 51.85. In the ODIs, he has made 375 appearances, scoring 13704 runs at an average of 42.03, apart from his 401 runs contribution in the 17 T20Is.

Tye pins-up the show as Scorchers trail with two in two
